Athletic FAQ's

Sports Physicals

1. NO PHYSICAL = NO PLAY!
Every student athlete is required to have a valid sports physical on file with the Denfeld Athletic Office prior to any participation in any sport. 

2.  Your students' physical status (expiration date) can be found in the Athletic Registration site.

Do Grades /Credits earned affect my students' eligibility?

YES!

Fall sports - Student must have passed all classes last spring
1. No F’s on the last report card (Grade period or Final Grade)
2. F on report card will result in a four-week period of ineligibility
3. Consecutive grade periods with an F = ineligibility for the rest  of the grade period
4. Classes of ’24 need 21.5 credits to graduate
5. Class of ’25 and beyond need 22.5
 

My daughter missed school due to an illness; can she still play in tonight’s big game?

No! 

students must be in attendance at school for a minimum of the last two hours of the day. A doctor’s appointment, funeral, or family emergency can also be allowed depending on the situation. Parents should contact the schools Activities Director in advance.  IF a student does participate it is in violation of this attendance rule, they can be suspended from future games.

I would like to have my child ride with me to or from a game, is that allowed?

Yes!

Student Athlete can ride to or from a game with an adult, however the Travel Release form must be completed and turned into the coach or athletic office prior to the event. Student athletes are not permits to ride with other students or drive themselves to any game unless their is no district / team provided transportation.
